Yesterday had one hell of a workout planned and I hope, after it was all said and done, that you enjoyed it. There are a couple key points that I want to pass on to everyone that either came up in class or I have in my head about programming workouts of this level.
- The WOD itself was written as an individual workout with competitor level movements.
- Always Scale. Always Modify. Never Assume.
- Do what you can before modifying - if you see a hard movement and immediately go "NO No no...." take a step back and ponder if you can do 1 or 2 reps at that harder movement. If that is the case then you should be doing those 1 or 2 reps before modifying. Ask your coach if this is right as well. Remember if all you do is SU then you will never get a DU
- Given enough time you can accomplish Anything - take a deep breathe you will be fine.
